Through the first seven months of 2025, the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH) has recorded a surge in passenger traffic, welcoming nearly 25% more travelers compared to the same period last year.

Much of the growth can be attributed to OTH’s expanded air service options. The San Francisco (SFO) route experienced a modest 2% increase in passengers—a small but notable rise given that last year marked the highest totals in more than a decade. Meanwhile, the Denver (DEN) route saw remarkable growth of nearly 175%. That service, previously operating just two days a week, expanded this year to daily flights, significantly boosting connectivity.

“This milestone reflects the vital role OTH plays in linking Oregon’s South Coast with major hubs for business, leisure, and tourism,” said airport leadership. “The continued growth underscores both the demand for travel to and from our region and the importance of ensuring reliable, convenient air service.”

Airport officials emphasize that the surge in passenger numbers strengthens the case for further air service development, helping to expand options for travelers and fuel economic growth across the South Coast.
