Notice of Budget Committee Openings
The Coos County Airport District (CCAD) is currently accepting applications from Coos County residents who are interested in volunteering to serve on the District’s Budget Committee. The Budget Committee is comprised of the five CCAD Commissioners and five appointed Coos County residents. Terms are for three years.
The District’s fiscal year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. Budget development typically occurs during the five months leading up to the start of the new fiscal year. Generally, the Budget Committee meets one to three times in May and June, as needed, to hear the budget presentation, review the proposed budget, and consider potential changes. The first meeting is scheduled for May 13, 2026.
Serving on the Budget Committee is an important way for community members to help guide public spending decisions and support transparency and accountability in local government.
Committee applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on February 27, 2026. Applications are available online at www.cooscountyairportdistrict.com, or may be picked up at the Airport District business office located inside the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport terminal.
