The Coos County Airport District will soon begin updating the long-range Master Plan for the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport. As part of this effort, the District is now accepting applications for a representative from the Airport Heights Neighborhood to serve on the Project Advisory Committee (PAC).
The PAC will play an important role in providing input and feedback throughout the Airport Master Plan update process. This is an opportunity for community members to be directly involved in shaping the future of the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport.
If you live in the Airport Heights Neighborhood and are interested in serving, please submit your application by October 15, 2025. Applications can be obtained from the Master Plan Committee Application link; from the airport administration offices at 1100 Airport Lane, North Bend OR 97459 or by emailing a request to info@flyoth.com.
We encourage interested residents to apply and help ensure the neighborhood’s voice is included in this important process.
2013 Master Plan
The Coos County Airport District last updated the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH) Master Plan in October, 2013. The purpose of the update to the Master Plan was to establish the vision for this vital facility and chart the new course for the upcoming 20-year period.
The study recommends a course of action, detailing the optimum way the Airport can grow over time to meet aviation transportation needs and at the same time provide opportunities for increased economic stimulus to the region.
The Master Plan Advisory Committee was comprised of key leaders and representatives from the community, Airport leaders, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the State of Oregon, local planning professionals, airport users and tenants, neighborhood and community groups, among others.
The Airport Master Plan Update was sponsored by the Coos County Airport District for Coos County, Oregon and funded by the Airport in conjunction with grants from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Master Plan Consultant was Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc., who produced and managed the project.
