(North Bend, OR) - The Southwest Oregon Regional Airport is proud to welcome Will Perez as the newest member of its Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) and Operations Unit.

A native of Colorado, Perez brings with him a strong aviation background and a lifelong passion for airports. He holds a degree in Aviation Science and Management from Middle Georgia State University and also earned his commercial pilot’s certificate. His ties to aviation run deep—both of his parents worked for Delta Airlines, inspiring his career path from an early age.

Perez previously worked at Greeley-Weld Airport, where he developed a broad range of skills in airport operations. Looking to expand his hands-on experience, he saw the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport as the perfect opportunity to step out from behind a desk, immerse himself in the structure and demands of a commercial service airport, and continue building his expertise in both firefighting and operational roles.

“We are excited to have Will join our team,” said ARFF Fire Chief and Operations Manager Bob Hood. “His education, aviation background, and enthusiasm for learning will make him a valuable addition to our ARFF and Operations staff.”

With his passion for aviation and eagerness to grow, Perez is poised to play an important role in supporting the safety and success of the airport as it continues to serve as Oregon’s gateway to the coast.
