Kiosks Assist with Streamlining the Boarding Process

Just in time for spring travel, there’s a new convenience at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport! SkyWest, which operates United Express at OTH, has added new electronic kiosks to make checking in for your flight even easier.

According to SkyWest OTH General Manager Angie Shabaugh, these kiosks allow passengers to check in, print bag tags, and even pay for luggage using tap-to-pay—all without needing to wait in line at the counter. Once you’ve tagged your own bag, you’ll still need to wait for SkyWest staff to place it on the conveyor, but the process should be smoother and quicker.

The kiosks also print boarding passes, but before they do, they’ll ask for your email or phone number to send you a digital version—so you can have it handy on your phone instead of carrying a paper copy.

Just a reminder: the SkyWest counter is staffed during normal boarding times but closes 30 minutes before departure. And if you’re checking a bag, be sure to do so at least 45 minutes before your flight takes off.
